Default 80 MPH Vibration

I know this isn't suppose to be the smoothest right in the car world, but I get a pretty heavy vibration right under the mid section at 80 mph. At 75 it drops off. Is this tire balance, drive shaft, etc. Car tracks pretty well so I don't think it is alignment.

Tire balance, but you need to have the tire balanced with a very sensitive balance machine. Like this one: Hunter GSP9700 Wheel Vibration Control System

Tire issues have been a very sore spot for the 350z. Make sure you inspect the tires very carefully and have the dynamic balanced and not static balanced. Since on some Z's the front and rear tires are of different sizes you cannot rotate them therefore you can and will get wear patterens that a normal rotation would correct and allow you to get better life from your tires.

Vibration at a certain speed indicates one or more of the following:

1) Improper wheel balance
2) Out of balance driveshaft (thrown weight)
3) Warped flywheel (only for manual transmission vehicles of course)

Unless you'r car's been driven extremely hard, or was involved in an accident, you more than likely just need to get your wheels balanced. Good luck.
