Sounds like you may have a sensor misreading. I would start by removing the sensors and cleaning any corrosion around them. Also make sure all of your wheel bearings are tight.

Every time I braked into a corner, the ABS would go off. I had to drive for miles at about 15 MPH to keep the ABS computer from freaking out and slamming on the brakes and stuttering them for me. Turning off the VDC didn't help - I tried that. I also tried shutting off the ignition and turning it back on to reboot things - no help. I limped it back to the barn and then to the dealer. Luckily, my extended warranty paid for the sensor, but IIRC, it would have been a major expense for parts and labor without it. Get your car to a mechanic before you kill yourself. That is a nasty problem. Skydvrz |
