Default Anyone Successfully Install a DRL Module on a 300ZX?

This will go down in history as the largest PITA process I've ever had to deal with! I've got a US-model '92 300ZX and have tried installing both a generic DRL and the dealer-recommended one (both using low-beams), with no luck. I've followed the wiring diagrams carefully each time and made sure my connections were sound, yet on both occasions I got the same problem: the high beams also turn on but at different intensities: the left side is on full, the right maybe at half-brightness. When I disconnect the high-beam wire from the equation, no lamps work. All lights work fine when the drl module is disconnected; all fuses are ok.

Has ANYONE done this with any success? I understand that certain drl modules come with Nissan-specific instructions (wonder why!!)

Any/all help is appreciated.

just run a wire from any fuse in the engine fuse panel ( mines running off the A/C fuse ) down to the red and green wire in the corner marker light.
