Default 280zx With 96 Maxima Auto Air

I think this is the right place to post this, so here goes. I have a 83 280ZX that I have modified and modernized. My latest project for the car is putting a 1996 Maxima Auto climate control in. I say put in, and that's as far as I can get.

I have removed the entire system from a donor car, thanks to the local pick and pull. I have the complete inside assembly, blower, condenser, air mix box, along with the push button face, and the small black box. I believe it is called the auto amp. built in to the BCM. I also grabbed the car computer. The problem is, I can't get the display to come on. I purchased three separate display units and none of them will come on. My question is, does the system require something else? I even removed the fuse box from the donor car and installed it in my vehicle. This is driving me crazy because I think its something simple I'm just overlooking. I've followed the FSM, and still nothing....Please help!

I was checking the service manual diagram and it looks simple. How many power wires did you connect?

On the push button control there is one "pink" wire that is connected to an ignition source and two that go to illumination. On the amp there is also a pink, or ignition wire. I hooked these up, but nothing.

I pulled the harness from the donor car and connected color to color. This is crazy, but that's why I think I'm missing something simple. It is a 12V negative ground system isn't it?
