Default NV200 SE key/lock question

We are just about to buy a NV200 SE model, and are having problems because we want to be able to lock the cab without locking the back doors. We have seen a secondhand 2011 NV200 SE model, which when the remote key fob lock button is pressed if the back or side doors are open then the van simply locks all the closed doors and the open doors are left unlocked. The dealership are saying it just can't be done. I think all the other vans in this size class can lock the cab and not the back, I'd be really surprised if Nissan don't have the same capability.
And if Nissan say it can't be done, then how come this 2011 van has the ability?
We're very frustrated by our dealer, we really need to be able to lock the cab whilst leaving the back doors open.

Can anyone comment on this?

Default VN200 Cab Locking

I have a 2013 NV200 van and wish to lock all the doors except one of the side doors which I want to leave open.
The remote locking system will not lock any of the doors when a door is left open.
However each door has a pressure switch which registers when the door is closed.
If the relevant button is manually pressed in with the corresponding door open the central locking will activate locking all the closed doors.
If does show an open door on the lcd. display once the button is released.
I would think an over ride switch wired into the door switch would cancel the warning display.
