Default Murano or not!

Hi,
I am looking to buy another Nissan. I have had the Maxima, Altima, and Sentra. I want to buy a Murano. What are the pros and cons to owning one? has anyone had any major trouble? If so, please explain.

thanks

Murano's are very nice and popular, the early ones had some transmission problems but all that is fixed now. What year are you looking for?

From what I have read, it was the earlier ones, such at '03-'04 years. In addition, again from what I've read, Nissan doubled the CVT warranty through the 2010 model year to 10 years/120,000 miles.

My wife and I bought a 2009 SL about three weeks ago and have been very pleased. I read about earlier CVT issues but am confident that's a thing of the past. Consumer Reports gives the Murano great marks.

If your looking to purchase a second generation murano 2009+ we really don't see alot os issues with them at all. Great vehicles.

The first generations are hit or miss really. Some people go without issues at all, but there are alot of really common issues on these vehicles that can't be overlooked. Door lock actuators, drivers seat motors, oil consumption issues. The latter being the one to check for when purchasing used.
