Camshaft Position Sensor Connector
While trying to remove the green connector from the CPS in my 06 Murano, I believe that I may have broken the connector. After I replaced, or tried to replace (wrong part) the connector would not click back into place. Can anyone tell me how to replace the connector itself? I still need to replace the old sensor with the correct one and would like to try and replace the connector itself....thanks!

The problem is that may have hard time finding the new connector. As far as I know only the dealer can get it the from the manufacture, unless you can get another from another vehicle (junk yard). If you get one from the junk yard try getting it with the wire, then you can just cut wires from the old one and splice the new one.

Cam Sensor Connector "fix"
2004 Murano .. I made a metal piece to physically hold the connecter in place.
I used a length of hacksaw blade- filed down the teeth. Bent into an L shape with a bit of a hook on the top. Drilled a quarter inch hole on the short flat for the sensor bolt. The sensor bolt holds the hook- and the hook holds the connector. The hook on top hooks over the edge of the wire end of the connector. This worked well for sensor nearest the firewall--connector /bolt/sensor all in line. May be able to make something similar for the angled sensor. Last edited by Jbwhole; 04-27-2016 at 04:42 PM. |

Camshaft Position Sensor Connector
I did a little reading, your sensor shouldnt require re-calibration.
Are you getting these readings from the gauge, or from your tuning software? You may need to tell the software the voltage curve for your particular sensor. |
