2011 Murano Auto Locks
Does anyone know how to turn off the automatic door lock function on the 2011 Murano?

Try the following steps:
1. Close all doors below (door switch OFF) 2. Turn ignition switch ON 3. Press and hold the door lock and unlock switch for 5 seconds or more in the unlock direction within 20 seconds after turning the power supply position ON. 4. The switching is completed when the hazard warning lamp blinks OFF → ON : 2 blinks ON → OFF : 1 blink

This process turns the Auto Un-Lock off/on. The Auto Lock still locks all doors when traveling over 15 MPH.

The procedure works for disabling AUTOLOCK as well. To change AUTOLOCK, hold the LOCK button. To change UNLOCK, hold the UNLOCK button.
I'm posting because most places I read how to do this said to turn the key to position #2 and that didn't work for me. This one says turn the key ON, which for me meant all the lights on the dash on, but car not started. Then I was able to disable the AUTOLOCK function, thank GOD. |

I disabled mine on my 2005 Maxima, but my wife seems to like it on the 2012 Murano. I guess I'll leave it working.

My wife wanted it on too. She told me all I had to do was push the unlock button to open the door, so I disabled the thing and told her all she had to do was push her lock button and her door would be locked.lol
