Default 06 Murano Drive Belts

Hi,
My wife took her 06 Murano for service today. She was told to replace drive belts. I didn't think Murano had drive belts because of CVT. So what kind of drive belts is the service rep talking about here?

Thanks

There are two, located on the right, or passengers side of the engine. They can be accessed by removing the right front tire and looking behind the rubber splash guard. The complete replacement procedure can be found in the Murano area of the knowledgebase section of this site.

If the belt brake, then the components run by the belt will not work, like the A/C Compressor, alternator, power steering pump.

I never heard of the driver belts making a ticking noise.

You look at it and check for cracks.

Some people replaced the drive belts with the 30K mile service. It usually last between 30K-45K.

Here is the procedure to replaced the belts: http://www.nissanhelp.com/diy/murano..._procedure.htm
