Keyless FOB stolen
My keyless FOB was stolen. I bought a new one and reprogrammed it, but I am told that the old one will still work unless I replace the whole system to the tune of $1,000. I already replaced the ignition system and door locks which cost me almost that much and I can't afford any more. Is there no way to disable the stolen FOB without replacing the entire system?

YES. Go through the program procedure and program the remote you have 4 times, like you had four different remotes. This will fill all the available codes for remotes with the id from the remote you have now and bump out the id's for any other remotes that were stored before.

Keyless FOB stolen
Thanks!
I thought if I did it four times or more, I would fill it up and it wouldn't ever take any more, even if I get another new FOB later. |

Each time you program a fob it will bump out the oldest one(the first one programmed) after all the spots are filled. You should never have to replace the controller unless it fails.
