Default Radiator support replacement

Hey sorry if this has already been covered in here, but I have a 98 Maxima that I had gotten into an accident with. After replacing majority of the front end of the car, my new hood is not lining up with the latch because the radiator support took most of the blow and is pushed back. So my question is, is the upper radiator support tie bar welded underneath the fenders? Is it even a separate piece? Is it a pain in the rear to replace? Any insight would be appreciated!
