Default After rear caliper replace brakes no longer work

I replaced the rear right caliper because it was rusted and stuck. I removed the caliper and let the brake line hang it was dripping fluid at a slow rate. By the time i got the bracket off the banjo bolt was no longer leaking any fluid.

I installed the new caliper and bled all 4 lines with the battery disconnected as indicated by the service manual and in the order specified.

When I turn on the car the pedal floors. Then the brake light comes on. The brakes engage for a second and then release even though I haven't let go of the pedal. Press on the pedal again, same thing engages then releases without me letting go of the pedal.

When I turn off the car, after a few presses on the pedal it stiffens up and the brakes work fine. Turn the car on, same problem.

Bled the 4 lines a second time, found no air coming out of them. Didn't make a difference.

What could be the problem. And what's the next step i should take?

Ok, I bench bled the master cylinder, installed it back, and bled all wheels. Problem solved. I don't know how air got into the master cylinder in the first place, must've been a problem with my one man bleeder.
