Default I bought a used engine

Is it safe to drive the car to the mechanic to get the engine swapped out? It has a broken engine rod...

Unless he's a block or two away, you'd be better off just having it towed to the shop.

Thank you for your reply. Is there risk of damage to other parts? I donít want to damage the transmission or any other parts that I will need when the engine is replaced.

Broken rod??? Cool.....
I'm pretty sure the only other thing that could be damaged would be other stuff inside the motor....which really wouldn't matter if u are "swapping" out motor for a different motor.....
It probably would matter if u were going to have mech rebuild the original one that is still in car...
So.....nothing exterernal of the motor(transaxle, ect) should suffer any damage.....as long as u have car towed to shop.....
