warning lights
2002 Maxima GLE The engine light has been on for a while due to a vacuum leak. Then out of the blue The SLIP, traction control, ABS all came on at the same time. Then they go away after the car has been off and cooled down but, as soon as it warms back up to normal temp. They come right back on. Its not effecting the car. Hmmm????

Have you checked with an OBDII scanner for engine codes? What is the code (s)?

Well, there are two things to consider. First, if there is an ABS system issue, which would cause those lights to come on, you'll need a scan tool capable of accessing ABS codes (or, "C-codes") to find out what code has been triggered. A generic OBD II code reader designed to read just powertrain codes won't work on ABS systems. Second, if the ECM detects an engine management problem, it can disable the traction control system, which will turn on the ABS/traction control system warning lights. So, if you check and find you have engine management codes stored, you'll have to address them first. If not, then you need to get a capable scan tool or shop to retrieve the ABS codes.
