Question paint thinner-like exhaust smell

Hey guys. I have a 2010 maxima. In July of 2013 I was rear ended and accrued over 4000 dollars worth of damage. A couple of months ago, I started smelling this awful paint thinner-like smell coming from my car. It gets so bad some days that I smell it through the vents in the cabin. long story short I had everything "fixed" by a repair place of AAA insurances choosing. I since have gotten rid of AAA. not only that, I have been going through gas like crazy. my question is - what could be causing this smell? and should I be hearing a hissing noise coming from under the car where the driver and passenger seats are? is it possible that these are linked to the same issue? thanks in advance for your time.

Mark

take the car to the same place that fixed it. If its a authorized shop that the insurance uses the work is guaranteed for life.
I would think they spilled something or something EVAP related in the back of the car (which they should have replaced from a rear end accident

You have a fuel leak. The only thing in cars smelling like thinner is gasoline. Most likely under the hood.
