The 'official' way to do it is to pull the front bumper which is not all that difficult.

Otherwise, you need to pull off the air intake plumbing and do some close quarters work.

On the passenger side it helps to unfasten the inner fender liner, that way you can shove your hand in there to help twist the big gray plastic thing, but I did not need to do that on the driver side. It does help, though if you have big hands. Get a rag so you don't grind the skin on your arm off reaching under the fender liner.

The tricky part can be to get the gray plastic part rotating, which can take a long screwdriver to get it started. Once you get the gray part moving, you then have to angle it just right so you can get to the bulb.

And be VERY careful not to break the fragile gray plastic ring that holds the bulb (done that), or the bulb will not stay in place.

One frustrating part too is that the gasket for the big gray ring can fall out of position...you have to make sure it's on the gray can part, and it can be a pin to get that whole part threaded back on.

On my 04 removed the tire. Then removed the inner plastic fender well and then got the light easy from there.
