2001 Anniversary Edition stalls when cold
I have been having this stalling problem when cold...it started last winter after we replaced the power steering high pressure hose but didn't replace the sensor that was welded into the old hose. It was very intermittent last winter so I just dealt with it.
During the summer I had several times it went into limp home mode after driving for half hour or so...I thought that might be a revolution sensor but again very intermittent so I dealt with it. I just replaced the high pressure hose sensor and intend to diagnose and fix what is wrong from here but now that it has gotten cold again it is stalling worse than ever. After much reading I am thinking it could be the mass air flow sensor. I am getting no codes and never have. Is there a way to diagnose this problem rather than just guessing and throwing money at the problem? Also, the engine mounts were unplugged 2 years ago when replacing the alternator. Could that the engine is stalling because the idle is too low. Try performing an Idle Air Volume Learning Procedure.
Also, check the engine temperature and if possible change the coolant.
