Default Setting engione timing How much

Hi have to get my timing adjusted on mt 02 max . It is pinging at 60 mph And Im running high octane . Does any one know how much the dealer chargers for this . I dont se any after market hand held ecm modes out there . Cant keep this up ,the berarings are going to be in the oil pan . Give me a good old distribtor anyday!!!

It depends on the dealer, my guess is that they will charge you around 1.0 of labor.

What fuel octane are you using on your Maxima?

Retarding the time will cause some power lose. Before retarding the timing try performing an injector and vacuum flush, sometimes carbon built up can produce a pre-detonation.

I am using 92-93 octane . I hook it up to my computer and the total timing no load is 33-34 Degress . Does not seem like alot but thats just me reving it up. I am waiting for the otm fitting to clean my injectors out. This doesnt have a EGR valve so there is half my problem .
