2010-UP ALL NISSAN MODELS; PERMANENT DTC (P-DTC) INFORMATION
Starting with 2010 Model Year, Nissan vehicles have been gradually incorporating a new type of DTC known as “Permanent DTC or P-DTC”.
ALL NISSAN MODELS; DIAGNOSIS OF POOR ACCELERATION OR LACK OF POWER
If a customer describes lack of power or poor acceleration, perform the following checks before attempting any repair:
Check for stored DTCs.
Check if the driver is resting their left foot on the brake pedal while accelerating. Advise the customer not to rest their foot on the brake while accelerating.
Use CONSULT-III plus in Engine Data Monitor to check operation of the brake lamp circuit signal. Monitor the brake switch during the incident; it should be “OFF”.
ALL NISSAN MODELS; FLUID LEAK REPAIR SERVICE INFORMATION
The following information is provided to help ensure correct diagnosis and repair of fluid leaks. All fluid leaks, when properly diagnosed, should be repaired (whether under warranty or customer pay) to ensure proper vehicle operation.
VARIOUS NISSAN MODELS; HITACHI BRAND POWER STEERING GEAR SERVICE INFORMATION
When diagnosing possible power steering gear (rack and pinion steering rack, or steering rack) leak issues, it may appear the steering rack is leaking when actually, it’s not. Use this service bulletin to help make a more accurate diagnosis of the steering rack.
2012 AND NEWER NISSAN MODELS; EVAP LEAK DTC P0442, P0455, P0456 INFORMATION
All model year 2012 and newer Nissan vehicles have a warning indicator in the instrument area to alert the driver of a loose fuel cap

This bulletin has compiled Tire Pressure Monitor System (TPMS) and Low Tire Pressure
Warning System (LTPWS) information for:
Basic Diagnosing of TPMS/LTPWS systems.
Aftermarket wheels.
Inflating/deflating tires with TPMS/LTPWS sensors.
Moving TPMS/LTPWS wheel assemblies from one vehicle to another and TPMS/LTPWS sensor registration.
Radio Frequency interference causing a “No Data” (C1708, C1709, C1710, C1711) condition.
Sensor leaks.
Air pressure changes with altitude and ambient temperatures.

2011–2013 NISSAN QUEST, JUKE, 2009–2013 CUBE; AIR BAG AND SEAT BELT WARNING LIGHTS INCORRECT INDICATION
One or more of the following conditions:
• Front passenger air bag status light is ON (illuminated) with the front passenger seat empty.
• Front passenger air bag status light is ON (illuminated) with an adult* sitting in the front passenger seat.
• Seat belt warning light is ON (illuminated) with the front passenger seat empty (driver seat belt is buckled).
• Supplemental air bag warning light is flashing but no Air Bag DTCs are stored.
