Description: 2008 NISSAN ARMADA, 2008 PATHFINDER, 2009 MURANO; VOLUNTARY SERVICE CAMPAIGN CLOCK Nissan has determined that on some 2008 Armada, 2008 Pathfinder, and 2009 Murano vehicles, the clock located on the audio unit may not keep accurate time. In some instances, the time on the clock will reset to the incorrect time every 45 days. To prevent this potential condition, Nissan is conducting this Voluntary Service Campaign to update the software in the audio unit free of charge for parts or labor. Hi NissanTech,
I just purchased a 2009 Murano SL and am having the clock resetting every time I restart the Murano. I have two questions for you: #1: Could I perform the update myself (I am very tech savvy not very mechanically savvy though)...? #2: Is there an official Nissan link stating they offered a free update? My local Nissan dealer informed me that an update was necessary to resolve the clock resetting issue but they would charge me $60 +tx to do the update. I look forward to your reply. Thank you for your time and effort, Kodi |
