Is this recall for all the '08s, or only a certain range of serial numbers?

I just purchased a used 08 Xterra and seem to have this problem, but my serial number is not covered by the recall. The memo I saw indicate the recall applies to 1,200 vehicles but clearly from the posts I've seen many more vehicle are impacted.
Does anyone know what consumers can do to try and expand this recall? |
