How come Nissan GT-R is faster than Corvette Z06?
GT-R is heavier; 3900 pounds while Z06 weighs 3259 pounds, and GT-R has a smaller engine; 3800cc while that of Z06 is 7000cc, but GT-R is faster than Z06; 0 to 60mph is claimed to be 3.0 sec while that of Z06 is claimed to be 3.5 sec. How come this happens? What are other considerable factors other than engine size and weight? As I researched, GT-R can yeild more power; 545HP vs 505HP, yet less torque; 463lbft vs 470lbft. I also wonder how come bigger engine makes smaller power, and maybe I'm repeating same question, but most importantly, why Z06 is not faster than GT-R even with more torque and less weight.

Air intake (The GTR is twin-turbocharged), fuel mixture, exhaust, transmission, drag, just to mention a few.

Also, the GT-R is all wheel drive, which makes it faster off the line than the rear wheel drive 'vette.
