I did not buy my 2003 Nissan Altima brand new, I bought it used from a Nissan Dealer with 70K on it. Around 88000km , my front suspension started to make some sort of thumping/rattling noise. Dealer diagnosed it as fronts struts are gone and not covered under bumper to bumper warranty after 60000 km. For a Car that has not even crossed 100,000km, this was very disappointing from quality view point. THis is my first non-Honda and never heard of struts going out at such age in a car. It turned out later, that for 2003 model year Altima 2.5S front struts going out is a known issue and Nissan resolved the problem in 2005 model years and above. Overall car is reliable but I am never buying a Nissan after this experience. I got the struts replaced at 89000km but a new problem has showed up as the steering wobbles at speed between 100km/h-110km/h. Have gotten balancing done twice and all wheel alignment but no resolution. Dealer says that my control links need to be replaced. This is ridiculous.

well your car got 70k and parts do wear out plus u have no idea how the other driver had driven it. sometime u get lucky and get a car that dont give u problems and sometimes u get a car that just has problems after problem even hondas have problems, recalls and all like any other manufactureer. i had freinds who had more problems with hondas then with my audi i used to have. like most people say treat yor car well and it willl last you for a long time.

I have a 08 sentra and in month two I couldn't drive it for a month because the fuel line or something like the was messed up. I did get a free used car from Nissian while I waited for my car. This is the 1 time buying a new car and not very happy with Nissan. My seat makes a creaking sound while I'm driving and the driver seat cant be adjusted unless someone pushes it up. I should be able to pull the level and recline or sit up with out someone doing that after all it was a new car with only about 30 miles from testing on it. The windows make a squeaking sound when rolling up and down and now after having it for a total of one year and two month my car smells like gas when I start it up and it sounds like a motor cycle and it jurk and pulls while I am driving it. The factory warrenty is over so now im stuck. When I spoke of the car being a lemon in that first month of having it and needed a new fuel line put in I requested a new car but they would not because they agreeded to fix it for free. I don't know if they were correct or not. What should I do about this lemon of my. I will never buy another Nissain again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Lol....From what i see you trend is the newer you buy the unhappier you seem to get...

Well i bought my first ever brand new car in 04(04 nissan sentra...I had one rear bearing go bad and just replace both(I am just that kida person)...I had a strut go bad under warranty but would not cover it since i had 18inch chrome wheels on there they blamed that for reason why(Go figure, Bought a new one installed myself and since then i have had 2 sets of 18 inch chrome wheels and no bad struts)..I also along the way have had a long crank issue which i have figured the prob out by looking on net and found a service bulletin,And read up that sentras fuel pumps suck,Besides them issue i am happy for a first time buyer and already at 140,000 miles.....

I have owned (Used)..Acura legend and a acura integra and wow!!!...they impressed me but i couldn't afford one new when i was shopping around....Legend got repod...and integra had 378,000 mile when i used it as a tradein on the 04 sentra.....So all in all i am happy....Tony
