Default AC issues

I have a 2008 Nissan Pathfinder and yesterday while driving back home my ac which was on, all the suddenly the ac and interior air recycle lights when off and the air stopped getting cold, but the blower was still working. I then turned it off and after a few minutes i turned the ac back on and both lights came back on and the ac was cooling again but after a a couple seconds the lights went off again and ac stopped cooling again. The blower still works on all speeds but ac light wont come on. This morning as long as you keep the ac on slow speed(#1) the ac stays on and the ac cools but as soon as you turn up the speed on the fan passed slow, the ac light cuts back off and the ac stops cooling again while the fan still working. Hope you can help because i have no idea. The only I can think of its that its some electrical issue. Thanks

What comes to mind to me is that there's a poor connection or intermittent short or open in the circuit or the HVAC control unit is going bad. If you have climate control, there is likely a self-diagnostic test for it if you look in the factory service manual, which you could perform.
