Noise from center dash / behind radio
I own a 2002 Nissan Altima with 3.5.
Have you ever heard the sound, when a leaf or piece of paper gets trapped in the heater / ac blower motor cage? Sounds like a flapping noise / sound against spokes. I have the same, exact sound, but it appears to be coming from behind the radio head area. To be certain it is not the blower motor, I removed the blower fuse to silence the motor. With key on, sound is there. Shut key off, sound is immediately gone. Any thoughts or experiences with what I have outlined here? Any help is appreciated. Bob. |

Update,
Flapping Sound IS coming from CD. Put CD in, flapping sound goes away. CD will not play, will only reject. Once CD has rejected, flapping sound begins again. Tried several CD's to verify that individual CD was being rejected as defective, etc. If I purchase a used radio / CD combo and install, does it have to go to dealer for programming, before it will operate? Any thoughts, please? |

A used audio unit for that model year doesn't require any special reprogramming.
