Frontier Pass Door hard to open
Hi all, My 2005 Frontier King Cab has been having a problem with the passenger door opening lately. It opens fine from the inside but on the outside it almost feels like it's locked until you really yank it then it will open. Other times it opens fine with no problem at all. Now I know it has a cable system to release it and if the cable was broke or out of the holding slot it would not open at all. I just can't figure out why it's OK sometimes and not good other times. Anyone ever have a Problem like this before? Thanks for reading my post.

I had a problem with the Top Latch on my '13 Frontier King Cab. The Top Latch/Lock was sticking and wouldn't Latch. I replaced with a New One and it solved the problem. However after working with the old latch, Lubricateing it, etc, I got it unstuck and working good. I'll keep it for backup. It might be possible that your latch is binding in the opposite direction. Might just need to be lubricated with grease and worked a few time's to get the part's slideing better. Or maybe the Cable or Latch need's adjusting if there is any adjustment that can be made. Also check the Door Hinge's and other part's to see if they may have worked loose that need to be tightened or adjusted. Good Luck,

Try applying white lithium grease first.
