Default 2002 AC Blower... no power at fuse

Hey all,

The blower fan on this 2002 Frontier is getting no power.
  1. Does not work on high.
  2. Motor seems fine hooked directly to battery.
  3. Swapped the resistor pack, just because.
  4. Fuses all good.
    1. Under hood
    2. Inside dash
According to the multimeter, there is no power to EITHER of the 15a fan fuses at the fuse block (key on or off).

All the OTHER fuses read 12v to ground.

Is there some other inline fuse BEFORE the inside fuse block that I need to check?

Thanks!

Update:

The 15a fuse on the left is VERY loose...like falling out loose. It does not feel like it is locking into an electrical connector.

The 15a blower fuse on the right seems to seat into a connector...but does not have voltage either.

What do I do? Pull out the fuse block and see if it's broken or disconnected?

Ok. Think I found it. There is a blower relay on the BACKSIDE of the fuse box. I had to take the dash down to get to it.

Relay #252309B900

There are two identical parts back there, one labeled Blower and one labled Acc.
  • Continuity on the blower relay to the coil barely moves the needle, if any.
  • Continuity on the Acc relay flips the needle all the way.
I'd say that was a bad relay... Anyway, I'm still concerned that the fuse in the fuse block doesn't make a solid connection, but I might try to smash the connector ever-so-slightly to make it hold better.

SO: If you have no environmental fan, and the fan works, and the resistor works, check the power to the fuse block before you tear into the central console and attack the fan speed switch... I should have checked more than just inspecting the fuses. It would have saved me a lot of trouble.

I'm guessing that relay sits between the battery and the fuses?

Yep. That fixed it. Now, of course, it has been broken long enough that the AC itself doesn't work, but at least I'm one step closer.
