Default abs, vdc off & slip lights on, no check engine or codes

This happened out of the blue to my 2010 4 liter 4x4. The abs, vdc off & slip lights are on but there are no codes or check engine light. Brakes are good, no low tires or fluids, obvious physical damage or loss of power. Any suggestions?

Have you had it checked for ABS codes? They have to be checked with a code reader or scan tool capable of reading "C-codes."

No, not yet. The nearest placed to read the codes is an our away. Looks like I may have to
find some decent software and connector to read codes myself. My wife has a 2012 Xterra so
it may be money well spent. Know any good windows 7 software for any possible codes?

No, I don't. I use an Autel MaxiCheck MX808 which sells for around $370. It reads all the codes and works on just about every passenger car and light truck with an OBD II connector. Also does isle air volume relearns, throttle actuator re-learns, TPMS registering, views and graphs live data from multiple systems, etc. It comes in handy.

Have you been able to get this fixed? I have a 2011 frontier and mine kept doing that but it would choke out when I would try to accelerate from a stop. If it went over 2K rpm it would just rev itself up and down. Put it in the shop and ended up having a loose wire to the computer. Good luck!
