2000 Frontier runs rough after rain
If it rains overnight, or any time the Frontier sits through rain, it runs rough and bucks when started. I have to slip the clutch and rev higher to get rolling. Then, I have to shift at higher than usual RPMs. After driving five minutes or so, the problem disappears. Obviously water getting into something, but I have not been able to find out where. Any thoughts? Thanks.

Most times when an engine runs rough in or after damp or wet weather, it's either a bad distributor cap OR one or more bad ignition wires. For ignition wires, I go with NGK (most auto part stores have or can get them, but I find the best price at Rockauto.com). For distributor cap and rotor, I only use genuine Nissan.

Thanks. I shall look into it when I can get my truck to a place where I can work on it.

Yep, I've been having the same problem with my 2001. Back in the day before all these sensors and computers it was the distributor cap 99.9% of the time. So that's what I'm going to replace first.
