Default 2004 4 cylinder-stumble on light acceleration

Hello, haven't been here in a while (Frontier is a battle ship). But now I have an issue as the title states. I started getting P0303 - cylinder 3 misfire. Again this is only on very light accel (think pulling away from a light in heavy traffic). It is always cylinder 3. I checked spark plugs first and could see no difference at any cylinder. Swapped 1 and 3. Problem remained. So, what is unique to just one cylinder? when the ignition wire checked out I focused on fuel injectors. I pulled cyl 1 and 3 injectors, sprayed them with solvent and swapped positions. No change. Thinking maybe the cyl 3 thing was a bad guess by the ECM I pulled and washed the remaining 2 injectors. The problem seems to be less severe, but still there. Next thought: being as this is just at minimal depression of the gas peddle I'm thinking I may have a flat spot in the throttle position sensor. Any thoughts or advice will be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance for you help.

I've had some intake manifold gaskets fail on these engines. Idle the engine and spray carb cleaner around where the intake meets the head and pay attention to any RPM "flares" or changes in the way the engine runs while spraying.
