Default Increase load capacity

1999 XE 2WD Xtra cab.
I want to increase the load capacity just a little,
Seems like it sits with just a light load in it.
Around #200 to #300.
Don't carry things that heavy much, but want to be able to without steering being a problem.
I have some coil springs from different cars.
Has anyone tried to mount them between the axle and frame????

I can't advise on the Coil Spring's.

Have you tried increaseing the rear tire pressure up to the maximum on the sidewall, and positioning the cargo as close as possible to the cab?
