Default Idle speed

1999 4 cly 5 speed
I cleaned the throttle body.
Not that dirty.
When cold, the idle seems high.
When warm, I hit the gas and the idle stays high and slowly goes down.
No vac leaks found.
Any adjustment for these???

Have you tried adjusting the idle speed screw?

Thanks
My base idle seems fine. Don't have a tach in it. Looking for a cluster with a tach.
It feels like the cold idle might be to high.
Also after I let off on the gas peddle, the idle stays high for a second or so.
It wasn't so high before I cleaned the throttle body.

Spring is good.
Must be some kind of adjustment for it.

Fast idle is controlled by the computer via the IACV-AAC valve. The only adjustment is the base idle setting, which needs to be done with the ECM is ignition timing set mode via a scan tool function or by unplugging the throttle position sensor after the vehicle is warmed up. Consult the Engine Control chapter of the factory service manual for more details, available in this site's "knowledge base" section.

It's not a problem.
I have other things to work on.
Just was wondering.
I did download the manual.
