no dents until now
on the 28th of last month I was driving through town and a driver who happens to be female ran a stop sign and hit my truck in the passenger side front fender and scrapped down the side causing 3000 dollars worth of damage I am not saying women are bad drivers but this one was distracted by a noisy passenger instead of telling the passenger to shut up for a minute. she stopped and gave me her insurance info and jumped into the car and beat feet out of there before I could call the cops. her insurance company sent me a check to cover the cost of the damage but won't spring for a rental car for the 10 days to fix it. I have never rented a car but I don't have money to shell out for one and I live 50 miles south of the body shop so i guess i am stuck at the office for ten days but i have two heart doctor appointments i need to get to.

Have you tried talking with your own insurance agent about the matter to see if there's anything they can do or perhaps they can tell you if the other insurance has a responsibility to provide a rental during the work?
