Default 2005 Nissan Frontier Crew Cab

I have to preface and say that this is the 4th Nissan truck I have owned and loved all the previous trucks but this one has caused me so many problems.

Right now I have three issues that I cannot get resolved and have been to two dealerships.

1) At 2750 RPM's there is a vibration that happens. Sounds like it is coming from the dash but the dash isnt vibrating. Sounds like from within the cluster. Once you hit 3000 RPM's it stops. No sound before 2750 or after. If I sit on that RPM then it will vibrate and not stop.

2) In the morning on start (I live in Phoenix) even in the cold winter or warm summer when I start up my truck for the first time for about 1-2 minutes it sounds like the belts are slipping (squeeking noise). It started a couple weeks after I bought the truck and when I "got it fixed" at the dealership (they replaced the belts) it started again 2 weeks later. Once the truck is driving and those 1-2 minutes pass you can no longer hear the squeeking noise.

3) The dash in my truck has made (now it is worse that I had XM radio installed - by a dealership no less) many clicking and rattling noises since I got it. You hear clicking just over the steering wheel, in the sides next to where the front window connects.

Anyone have any ideas on how to fix these three things?

Have anyone had any similar problems?

I am thinking that maybe selling the truck is my only option. The dealerships haven't been very helpful at all. Which is very sad as I love Nissans and otherwise it seems like a good truck. Not to mention the $7000 loss I would take being as in the last few months the truck depriciated.

Any help would be greatly GREATLY appreciated. Thanks!

Jon in Phoenix, AZ

There are a few bulletins about your problems. Check the the engine repair, engine performance and body section for more information.

Look at the electronics module under the dash in front of where your left knee would be. The module in question is about 4" square and 1" thick. Mine was rattling from the cover plate (but the screws were tight)> I covered (wrapped) the module with tapa backed foam (house hold window leak sealer type) and the rattle went away.
