Default Nissan frontier brake light trouble

I have a 2014 nissan frontier.the problem is. The driver side brake light goes out when the head light and tail lights are on.another strange thing is that the only element in the bulb that lights up when the brakes are applied is the tail light element and not the brighter stop light element.once again i have checked and replaced the bulb.when i measured the voltage i can only get 12 volts between the two outside terminals and not between the two outside terminals and the center black one which i believe is ground and there should be voltage between the outside terminals and the center ground, but there is none.also i was tiring to find a wiring diagram on line with no luck need help. Thanks

Sounds like you have a bad socket. Haven't had that problem on the frontier, but on other models, the problem is the socket.

Here is the wiring diagram for the stop light.

Default Break light trouble

Thanks for the diagram. What is the number 4 , 35c and e15 that it shows in diagram in the ground line.and shouldn't number 2 on the socket show continuity to ground, or is there some kind of a really or some other kind of a switch that breaks contact with the ground.

Pin number on the connector. For example Connector "C200" and "C15" the black wire for the ground is the pin (or location) #4

Yes, should have continuity to ground all the time, even if there is no bulb or the socket is disconnected.

Default Found problem with brake light

THANKS FOR THE REPLY'S. I FOUND THE PROBLEM. WHEN I HAD A TOPPER PUT ON THE BED OF THE TRUCK, THE PEOPLE THAT INSTALLED THE TOPPER WHEN THEY HOOKED INTO THE WIRING TO HOOK UP THE REAR TOPPER LIGHT DID A VERY VERY POOR JOB WITH SOLDER-LESS CONNECTOR AND ONE WIRE HAD NO CONNECTION WHICH WAS THE GROUND WIRE.
