New Frontier design?
Got a 2005 Frontier new in 12/05 when the new design first started hitting the lots. It's a 6 speed truck and aside from a few frustrations with Nissan in the beginning, it's actually been a pretty good truck ..... looked up underneath and it's clean - no grease spots, never know it has 107K miles on it ... no seat tears or anything. It needs a few grand to be put in to keep it going (need tires, breaks, oxygen sensor, belt change).
Thought the new body change will happen in 2013, but guess not. Think new Frontier design will happen in 2014? Not sure if I should keep my 2005 going, get a new 2012 Frontier auto now, or wait a few years for the new body design? Sometimes the manual gets old, but other times I don't mind. |

Personally I like to get my vehicles at the end of the production years. Usually the first year come with too many problems.
The frontier should get some some redesign for the 2013. In 2009 the change some body panels and other minor things, I think the 2013 model would have some minor changes as well, but the platform, transmission and engine should be the same.

NT, I see that the pathfinder is getting new sheet metal for the 13 YM, I would assume the Frontier would as well as they've always been a shared product.

Probably just get some new tires and keep my truck going. Nissan 2013 news site is tight lipped on the 2013; other sites write a new big change for Titan/Frontier is about 2015 or 2016. One thing about Nissan is they go out on the edge with their designs and I like that. --- GTR! Would be nice if the truck got better gas mileage but not bad for what it is. Nissan should have had a diesel engine in these things by now though ....
