If your Frontier has an automatic transmission the back-up switch is part of the Park and Neutral (PNP or Inhibitor Switch) positions switch.
If it has manual transmission, the switch is on the side of the transmission.

On my frontier i see three switches.. Two look like each other and both have two plugs. The other one is seated a little behind de two on the gearbox and has one plug. So which one is the backup light switch? Oh yeah.. It's a manual..
