Question Read codes w/o code reader?

Hey guys, I was wondering if there is a way to get the codes to display on dash on these vehicles. I'm not familiar with the Nissans really. I'v got a dodge that you turn the key on and off a few times and it will display on the odometer. Did'nt know if these had their own little trick or not. I've got a 99 Frontier 3.3 thats running so bad I can't get it anywhere. Thanks. First time poster!!

to Nissanhelp.com!

Yes there is a way to read the codes, but it is a bit complicated to explain here. You can find the information in the "Engine Control" section of the service manual page EC-59. You can download the section free from here: Knowledgebase - 1999 Frontier - Nissanhelp.com Forums
