Default Tach no Tach

I have a 2005 frontier 4x4, the tach will work or not work depends on it's own mind, it will always work some but it reads low when it is acting up !

I'm no expert and being I have an 2004 the instrument panel could work differently.
I read about the 2005 where a unified meter can go bad in the cluster that sends a signal to your tach.Good luck and let us know what you find.

Can you replace the meter itself? My guess would be you have to replace the whole
cluster.I hope you can, that would nice if mine was like that.

I don't have any info. on how to remove your speedo, but I'm sure you can just google
the instructions and also see video for it.
