Default Project: 1993 Nissan 300ZX Engine

Project: 1993 Nissan 300ZX Engine

We are rebuilding a 1993 300ZX engine to try getting between 275-300 hp for a customer. Customer don't want to install a twin turbo engine, wants to get the 300 hp from the naturally aspirated engine. We have about $6K for the project.

I'll be adding the list of the parts we buy here as well as picture of the project including the installation of the engine.

We haven't bought any parts yet, any ideas or products recommendations to achieve our 300 hp goal will be appreciated.

We have been very busy at the shop and not much time to continue our project engine, but we were able to strip down the engine and getting ready to rebuild.

Due to the price of the parts and time We consider getting a full rebuilt engine block from a place in Texas, instead of rebuilding the engine our self’s, but the advertise price on their web site is not close of what they actually charge (shipping $600, core $1500 which we may not get back if there is an slight damage on the engine)

We used a local rebuild shop and they did a nice job with the engine. They install oversize pistons and we installed NISMO intake camshafts.

Here are some more picture:
