I doubt the Autel scanner is able to change any configuration or activate the ABS system. For the C1142 code start by checking the brake fluid, and for the C1184 code you may have a faulty brake switch, which is common.

Start by inspecting the brake pedal and brake switch, and make sure the brake pedal moves up and down freely. Then check the brake fluid, and top off the fluid if necessary. Then disconnect the car battery for about 30 minutes to reset all the codes and the ABS system.
