Default 2010 Maxima Bluetooth Problems

2 questions regarding my new 2010 Maxima SV.

1) When on the phone, using Bluetooth, I can hear myself echoing while I chat and I've heard from the folks I'm talking with that they can hear themselves from my end. I didn't have this problem with my old non-Nissan. Is this common? It's pretty annoying and makes conference calls very difficult.

2) When listening to my iPod, if I make (or receive) a call, the system doesn't pause the iPod. A 10 minute chat means I miss 10 minutes of whatever I was listening to. My old non-Nissan paused my iPod. Is there a way to do that with my Maxima?

Thanks!
