Default speakers popping w/key turn on/off

Hello,
I need some help on my wifes 08 pathfinder SE v8 (no navigation). It just started making a popping sound through the stereo speakers when ever you turn the ignition switch from on to off and back again. It doesnt matter if the audio is off or not on the stereo. There is one loud POP when the key is switched on. There are no issues while driving or working the stereo until it is switched off. When the key is turned off, there is another loud POP through the speakers. I removed the stereo fuse and started the car, and no pop. I replaced the fuse and the POP came back. It is so loud that it sounds like the speakers are about to blow. Any ideas?

Not sure if that model has a separate amp or not. Normally the amplifier should power on after the ignition switch is on, so perhaps the amp is not shutting off? If it's a BOSE system, it has a separate amp, or two, or even three.

Default 2008 Pathfinder Sound System Popping

I have the same problem with my 2009 Pathfinder. The sound system Pops when turning the ignition on or off and the battery drains. If I remove the entertainment system fuse the battery remains charged.
