Display Dimming with Headlights On
Hello,
I have a 2005 Nissan Armada with the electronics package that includes the navigation system. Just yesterday I started to have this problem. Under normal circumstances, when the headlights are turned on either automatically on manually at night, the display for the navigation system (also displays environmental controls and radio controls) would dim and the background and colors on the display would go into "night" mode. It won't do this anymore. It is really annoying in that the display is now so bright at night that it destroys your night vision. Any ideas on how to get this feature to work again? All other interior lighting functions are working normally. |

Position of Control Switch
Thank you for your response.
I just tried varying this control. I usually keep this at the highest setting (just before the detent which is the highest). Trying this with the headlights off works properly but has no effect on the NAV display. I tried turning this all of the way down, and turning on the headlights. All controls illuminated dim, but had no effect on the Nav display. Turned off headlights and turned dimmer all the way up. Turned on headlights. All controls illuminated bright, but no effect on the NAV display. Seems like everything but the dimming (changing to the dark background) of the NAV/Radio/Environmental display is working properly. Any other ideas? Tobin |
