I'm having a hard time figuring out whether the 2002 Xterra has a Bose system or not. My factory CD player has died, and I'd like to replace it with an identical unit. Will any CD player pulled from a 2002 Xterra work in it? Does it have to be the Bose-compatible unit, or am I misunderstanding? This is the AM/FM/CD unit that came with the 6-cylinder Xterra -- NOT a CD changer.

You can find exact spec. information here for your Xterra and it will tell you if it has the Bose equiped stereo or not. Good luck on finding a replacement without hocking your kidneys to pay for it....(joke)
