Default 1997 Nissan Altima Transmission Problems

The other day I was driving, getting ready to turn around when I accidentally shifted from drive to reverse before coming to a complete stop.
I may have accidentally went all the way to park, not sure, wasn't paying much attention.
When I finally went to reverse the car wouldn't move. I put the car in neutral and shoved it back far enough to turn around. The car works in all forward gears and park seems to engage fine. After further checking, I now know that when it is in reverse, it is trying to reverse but the parking paw is engaged. What can I do to fix problem?

Unfortunately there is no much you can do without taking the transmission apart. I suggest having a trans specialist check it out, they may have a trick to make the reverse work without taking it a apart.
