They need to go from the negative battery terminal to the engine block or transmission case.

I'm pretty much in the same situation. I hope someone can shed some light on this darkening situation.
I have an 05' SE-R and I have had rough idle and replaced plugs, coils and O2 sensors. I have not had any luck and have spent well over $1000 on this issue. The mechanic has check the compression and its holding fine. There aren't any intake leaks. Does anyone have any idea where else to go with this? Could it be a bad ECU? |

I was hoping for better news. I've been changing coils on my wife's 2003 2.5SL way too often. It's definitely a coil. I bought 3 new ones just the other week and installed them and it ran fine for a couple of days (cylinder 1 was changed a couple of weeks prior). This is the second go around for me. At least there's only four of them and Rock Auto has them cheap.
This car is starting to make my old '97 Taurus SHO look reliable. |

Test your power circuit with a multi meter set to Voltage. You can do that by disconnecting the wire connector from igniton coil. Your reading is battery voltage.
Also, I am curious what type of ignition coil you bought. Is it OEM replacement, or did you buy aftermarket. My '02 Altima still has 3 OE coils. I replaced one early this year. Try buying one from a Nissan dealer and see how long it will last for comparison purposes. |

I am having the same issue on my wife's 04 Nissan Quest. I replaced at least 7 coils. I replaced all rear facing 3 coils in July 2011 and now the car is misfiring and a quick visual check showing at least 2 of them blew again. I will check the ground connections. I'm sick of this car!!!
