2005 Altima with wet carpet
Can anyone give me some pointers on how to determine where water is leaking onto the passenger side carpet?

Does the carpet gets wet when it rains, after a car wash or after you use the A/C? Does your Altima has a a sunroof? First is to determine when it happens.
There are a few bulletin for other model year that can help you diagnose your problem. Search for "Water" in the bulletin section: http://x.nissanhelp.com/forums/local...1&keys=1&pp=10

Could also be the heater core leaking, or condensation(or clogged drain hose) on the evap core box under the dash ::shrugs::

Hi
I did have same problem. The under door trim collected water when rain. There is plugged draining holes (2 or 3) on the bottom of the car below the doors. The holes are between the inner and outer trim sheets, and close to jack spots. Look for bumps on the welding line. Unplug the holes with small screwdriver or steel wire. And don't forget to drain the water under the carpet. (Y) |

Take commpressed air and blow air thru the drain holes located in the water tray of the sun roof.
