2008 Altima 6 speed Manual Transmission Pilot Bearing
Does a 2008 Altima 6 speed stick 2.5 engine have a pilot shaft bushing or bearing in the crankshaft?
I have an Altima engine in my Sentra SE R Spec V there is no bushing or bearing in end of the crankshaft pilot hole in the engine that came in the car. That engine had a rod knocking so I did a rebuild. The new crankshaft I bought had a bushing for an automatic transmission which I had to cut out. I am at the point of going back in with the engine except for attaching the 6 speed stick transmission. I have had zero luck finding a pilot shaft centering tool to center the clutch plate. I also looked online at a new set clutch kit and it shows a pilot shaft bushing comes with the kit. I really need to know if there is a bushing that goes in there or not so I can get this engine back in. Any help is greatly appreciated.

It doesn't use one but you can put one in. It will help with clutch alignment.
