Cant find part/issues with Altima 2.5s
So i recently had my car throw the crankshaft position sensor code. I replaced it but not the camshaft position. On my way to work the next day as I was sitting at red light, the car died. I pushed it off to the side of the road tried cranking two times and nothing. Third crank it starts up. I get it home drives fine there. I check the code and its giving me the camshaft position sensor code and now the p1800 code which is the VIAS control solenoid valve. I'm going to say I don't know much about cars so ive been trying to research it. Long story short, I cannot find the replacement part for this p1800 code anywhere. The only one that pulls up when i google it is for the 3.5 models of my car and says it doesnt fit it.

When an engine misfires, it can sometimes trigger non-related codes in addition to the actual code. For now, I would concentrate on the cam position sensor and ignore the P1800 code. Replace the cam sensor, erase the code and see if it returns. As far as the cam and crank position sensors on the 2.5L, it's best to stick with genuine Nissan or Hitachi parts. Nissan has a "sensor kit," P/N B3731-6N21A, that runs about $65 from the local dealer and about $50+shipping from an online dealer. If one goes bad, I get the kit and replace both at the same times. One of the sensors will have a white paint mark on it, indicating that is the crankshaft position sensor. I've run into problems, along with a lot of other people, with the aftermarket sensors.
